Personal Statement

I enjoy the interaction of working as part of a team but I am very capable of working alone or in a leadership role. I like the responsibility of being set individual tasks and take satisfaction in learning new things. As can be seen from my references I am punctual, hard working and reliable.

Experience

I have worked in a leadership role, managing both staff, contractors and other resources in a busy work environment. Dealing with escalations, disciplinarians and rewarding excellence has previously been built into my role as a leader.

I have designed, developed, implemented and maintained websites for many different clients. While working as a designer I developed good interpersonal skills by meeting clients and their business partners to better understand their branding and to form good relations.

When I worked as a software tester I was often directly putting my self in the shoes of the customer to test the software's usability and I would convey my findings to my team and customers directly.

Skills

I have excellent typing and desktop computing skills while being fully literate with today's PC technology in both software and hardware components.

Developing new knowledge of computers systems comes very easily to me and I can explain what I have learnt to others clearly. This also helps with when I have had to develop end user support in the form of a report when working on a project. I would form the support as either a report, manual, eLearning, presentations or directly train the staff myself.

Knowledge

I have a wide understanding of brand named products including HP Compaq, IBM, Acer, Dell, Medion, Alienware and so on. I follow and have used software operating systems such as Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Vista, 7 and with regards to Linux OS; Ubuntu, and Fedora variations. client side is very well known to me and I have had some experience hosting servers. I am familiar with the concept of Windows, Linux, Unix and BSD both client and server side. I have also has some mac experience.

Software packages that I am fluent in would include all Microsoft Office packages as well as the Open Source Sun Microsystems Open Office package. I have experience in the picture editing applications such as GIMP, Fireworks, Photoshop and more.

I have had some experience with UML and Use Case Diagrams though I find these are not really used in the industry.

Website Development I have always found easy. I prefer using purely code such as but not limited to HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP. I have taught others how to use applications to create the site for them too. Example applications I have used are Microsoft Front Page, Dreamweaver and Nvu. I have done Java programming in the past. I have practised C, C++ and C# programming languages. Python is a language I also breifly used while dealing with Ubuntu and Fedora.

I am also familiar with 3D modelling applications such as milkshape, 3DS max, gmax and more.

About Me

My date of birth is the 1st of February 1987. I am a proud father of one. I am always keen to develop so you will always find I am undertaking a course of some description, whether it be computers, construction, psychology or something else.

My main qualities would be honest and loyalty.

Hobbies and Interests

One of my many interests is science fiction; I believe some of the best ideas start with science fiction. I take a strong interest in construction, politics, philosophy, law, psychology and many other subjects.

Strictly I do not keep to any one hobby. I enjoy playing computer games, watching movies, golf at a driving range, playing pool and some card games.

Music does not play a large part in my life, however I opt for rock, metal, punk, techno, ska, random geek music and other genres.
